SPID is the access system that allows holders to use - with a single digital identity - the online services made available by public administration bodies and accredited private individuals. If you already have a digital identity, log in with your provider's credentials. If you have not yet obtained a digital identity, request it from a provider.

The Electronic Identity Card (CIE) is the personal document that certifies a person's identity. Equipped with a microprocessor, in addition to proving the personal identity, it allows access to the Public Administration's digital services.
Access can be done:- by smartphone or tablet (equipped with NFC technology, Android or iOS operating system, and the Poligrafico's "CIE ID" application);
- by PC (choosing authentication via NFC reader or via smartphone/tablet equipped with NFC technology, Android or iOS operating system, and the Poligrafico's "CIE ID" application).
CIEs valid for access are only those issued from July 2016 onwards with a serial number, found on the top right of the card, beginning with the letter "C".

The National Service Card or CNS (Carta Nazionale dei Servizi) is a smart card or a USB stick which contains a personal authentication "digital certificate" and can be used to access the Public Administration's online services.
Prerequisites:
- have an active CNS;
- log in from a workstation that can read the CNS (i.e., that is equipped with a special reader in the case of smart cards);
- have the CNS drivers installed, as provided by the issuing administration.
After checking the prerequisites, perform the following steps:
- insert the CNS into the smart card reader or USB port;
- press the PROCEED button. A list of all the personal identification certificates on your computer and on the CNS will be displayed;
- select the authentication certificate contained in the CNS and press the OK button. The CNS certificate contains your tax code among other identification elements;
- enter the PIN for the CNS as provided by the issuing administration; this is usually a code of 5-8 digits. The PIN helps prevent the CNS from being used by unauthorised persons.
